How to budget a Rome trip without guessing your daily spend

Separate fixed and daily costs
Start with your actual accommodation quote, including mandatory charges shown in the booking. Add travel to Rome separately. These costs do not disappear when you compare a daily budget. For a couple, decide whether your sheet records household totals or per-person amounts and use the same basis in every row.
Build your daily allowance
List breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks and the journeys you expect to take. Use prices from selected places rather than an internet average. Add admission costs only for attractions you genuinely plan to enter. A walking day and a museum day can have different costs, so calculate the trip as a set of days.
Keep airport travel separate
Do not assume an urban transport ticket covers your airport transfer. Check the operator, route, luggage conditions and ticket coverage independently. Add an alternative if your first option stops running before arrival or requires an impossible connection. The cheapest advertised ticket is not useful if its departure does not fit your flight.
Protect your priorities
Keep a reserve for changes: a late arrival, an extra journey or an indoor activity on a rainy day. Decide which experiences you would protect if costs rise and which you would remove. The free workbook provides blank categories rather than price promises. Recheck current official ticket prices before locking your total.
